A monument to the constructor of the first local motorcycles Peter Mozharov​ has been opened in Izhevsk

On June 9, on the territory near the crossroads of Karl Marx Street and Borodin Street, a ceremonial opening of the monument to the outstanding engineer and inventor, the creator of the first Soviet motorcycles, Peter Mozharov, was held.

Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Udmurt Republic Vladimir Solovyov, Chairman of the City Duma of Izhevsk Oleg Garin, acting Deputy Head of the Administration of Izhevsk for Social Policy Dmitry Chistyakov, acting Head of the Administration of the Oktyabrsky District Valery Martynov, acting Head of the department for culture and tourism of the City Administration Tatiana Shitova, the sculptor Pavel Medvedev, the general director of the JSC 'Izhevsk Motorcycle Plant' Axion Holding Company' Gennady Kudryavtsev, the heads, veterans and the younger people of the company attended the event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of JSC 'Izhevsk Motorcycle' Axion Holding Company' and the 130th anniversary of Peter Mozharov. 

The monument of Peter Mozharov located in the center of the capital of Udmurtia will become a cultural and historical value of the city, an important attractive place for visiting Izhevsk by its residents and the guests of the capital.
